Sometimes I just have to rant.  Today we’ll talk about campers kids.  Campers are the guides and anglers that go to the same spot every time they fish.  I mean every time !  There is one guide here in town that you can set your watch to him showing up at one spot daily.  Not only is he pounding the spot there are multiple boats that come and go fishing the spot as well.  Even if you are releasing the fish what do you think this is doing to the fish ?  I have been getting a bunch of calls from friends lately complaining about the reds not tailing very well.  That’s because they and who knows how many other people have pounded the fish into submission.  There is a place on Pickney Island that has plenty of fish on the low water and they are spooky.  You can bank on seeing multiple boats there daily high and low tides.  If you enjoy redfishing one should rotate flats, fish one and leave it alone,   If you are a camper style guide you are doing yourself, your customers and anyone else that may want to fish that group, no Favors  SO remember kids don’t be a camper.
