Just as I was beginning to give up hope on the poon bam! They showed up in great numbers. Florida started to get a bit of upwelling from South west winds and had dropped the water temps down to the mid 70’s, this in turned made the fish push to us. We have had a consistent b
ite with jumping and landing more than a fish a trip. There have been 3 trips now that didn’t result in a poon, but out of 12 or 13 trips not bad odds. There have been some big Jacks in the mix as well and the reds have been busy tailing and on nice low tide days that have light winds the reds are bruising the baits up too.
