Summer Heat

Fishing has been good,  been chasing plenty of reds around, the beach’s have been stacked w/ some nice spanish and lady fish.  There have been some triple tail showing themselves around the Wassaw area as well.  I have still not heard much from the trout scene, only time will help get these fish back up and going.  If people can release more of the larger trout we could see this time shortened a good bit. There should be some jacks showing up, I have done a bit of looking and havn’t seen to much, tomorrow I’ll ive it a bit more time and see what happens.

Fun Stuff

As far as the reds go nothing has changed, still plenty of fish tailing on the hgh water and nice shots at low water.  Cobia are around, the Broad seems to be a bit congested and I havn’t heard of many cobia being sight casted to.  The beach fronts are hosting plent of lady fish, spanish, and smaller Jacks.  Fun topwater action with poppers.  Been talking to a few folks around town  that havn’t even caught a trout this year.  These are guys who know how to fish,  we need to practice as much catch and release on these larger fish to help a comeback.  Let’s hope the bait soakers don’t kill the rest of them.  This will put more pressure on our reds, hopefully the powers at be will pull their heads out of their ASS and put together a proper fisheries managment plan for the state of Georgia. Take the fisheries managment out of the politicians hand and put in DNR’s.  Lord knows I havn’t met a politician that knows what their doing.
